No matter what happens around us, what we cling on in 2017 can define us.

The Relationships we have,

The Educational qualifications we acquired,

The Status we possess,

The Career we are in or

Talents and skills we were gifted with,

have its allotted space within us.

Yet, an invisible void remains. In life, we have to distinguish between this allotted space and the invisible void. So that we can nourish it appropriately and accordingly. With just 3 letters we can fill the invisible void. G-O-D.

A quick look at John 20:17 points to a strong word. CLING. Simple, yet profound. Before we let our hearts to disperse over the daily affairs of our world, let us cling on to GOD. Because,Jesus did it.

“Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”  (John 20:17).He did not let Mary Magdalene cling to him just after his resurrection.

If it written in 20:17, then we can embrace this principle in 2017 of not letting worldly affairs cling to us, before we spent our time with our Heavenly Father. Let us give him our fresh hours and cling to him. All the other matters will fall into its place as we cling on him and abide in his word. Matthew 6:33 says:“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

May God bless you with hope, faith and love in all your areas and help you to cling on him.
